An absolute classic as much as Monopoly, Hasbro's Scattergories is a word game never goes out of style. It's based on a word game that has kept families entertained on rainy days for decades, just as this commercial version has done for over 20 years.

Scattergories - Difficulty Level

One of the first factors to consider when playing the game is its difficulty, which sets the minimum age at 13. As for the number of players, unlike many other board games, you can have over 4 people playing at once as you're allowed to make teams from 2 to 4 of them.

• 32 cards for the categories
• Classic hourglass to count the response time accurately

How To Play Scattergories

Each team will have its own folder, pencil, answer sheet and a list of categories. They will then be ready to roll the dice that will decide which letter to play with. The clock starts and the search phase begins for words starting with the marked letter that correspond to the categories on the list. Up to 3 answers can be given for each category. Once the hourglass has marked the end, no more answers can be entered. For each answer, 1 point will be added and so on, round by round, until there are no more letters left. The winning team will be the one with the most points throughout all the rounds.
