What happens on the day?

On arrival at Back of Beyond Touring and Camping Park, you’ll receive a warm welcome at reception. You’ll be directed to your chosen accommodation, which boasts a private deck, an outdoor cooking station completed by a double bed and furniture. You’ll find power showers and toilets nearby.

From there, it’s up to you how you enjoy your time, whether that’s exploring the woodland and lakes, getting involved in the activities on offer, or simply sitting back and letting nature come to you. Whatever’s on the cards for your stay, you’ll find yourself amongst utter tranquillity there.

Participant guidelines

• Minimum age: 18
• Well behaved dogs are welcome. An additional £5 per dog per night (2 dog maximum) is payable when booking
• Dogs are welcome in shepherds huts, lodges and the small Kingfisher pod
• Guests are required to provide their own bedding, towels and tea-towels
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

Your voucher is valid March to October - seven days a week during Saver Season and Sunday to Thursday during Low Season. Excludes Bank Holidays. Excludes Friday and Saturday in Low Season.

We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

Arrivals between 14.00 and 19.00. Please try to arrive before reception closes at 18.00; they can sometimes make exceptions for reasonable late arrivals by prior arrangement and, of course, in an emergency. Check-out is 11.00 on the day of departure.

What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Additional information

In addition to the toilet and shower block, there is also a laundry room and a new area for washing dogs.

Dogs must be on the lead around the pitches. Dogs are not permitted in the lakes area because it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The small shop in the Reception sells local produce including meat from the local butcher and a selection of wines, beers, ciders and is open from 09.00 to 18.00. Coffee and morning pastries are also available.

There are large supermarkets in nearby Ringwood and Ferndown.

There are caterers with wood-fired pizzas and fish and chips visiting the park in the summer and pubs serving good food within walking distance – The Woodman and the St Leonards Hotel.

Fire baskets are available for hire if you wish to enjoy a campfire experience.

The park operates a secure barrier system and ask for a cash only deposit of £10 on arrival to cover the barrier card which grants you access in and out of the park. On departure your £10 will be refunded when you hand your card back in.

What about insurance?

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher.

How it works

All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and we’ll send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience.
