Smart connectivity
The DMP-BDT280EB features built-in WiFi with a full web browser to allow easy access to the internet. Discover a range of apps, catch-up TV and on-demand services with the Panasonic app store. You can check social networks such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as access services such as BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Netflix to enhance your entertainment options.
When connected to the internet, BD-Live can access additional content for your Blu-ray discs. This can include internet chats, scheduled chats with the director and internet games, as well as downloadable featurettes, quizzes and movie trailers to allow you to enjoy your favourite films in even greater depth.
Streaming
The DLNA feature allows you to access other DLNA devices around your home, meaning that you can stream video, music or photos straight to your TV.
You can also take advantage of Miracast to let you display what is showing on your compatible Android smartphone or tablet on your TV screen. This makes it easy to share your favourite photos, videos and songs with your family and friends on a larger screen.
Full HD 3D playback
Capable of playing all of your favourite 3D Blu-ray discs when connected to a compatible 3D TV, the DMP-BDT280EB can also upscale standard definition DVDs to HD quality. The player can even upscale Full HD video to 4k quality when connected to a 4k resolution TV.
External HDD playback
As well as being able to play Blu-ray discs and DVDs, the DMP-BDT280EB can directly access content stored on external hard disk drives through a USB 2.0 port. This allows you to play music and video stored on an USB sticks and HDDs, as well as viewing your favourite photos.
