Product Description
Aperol Aperitif Highlights:
- Fruity herbal liqueur with 15% vol. of alcohol
- Basic ingredient for Aperol Spritz
- An all-Italian invention
Unique Taste, Brilliant Colour
Not only the bright orange colour, but also the taste of the Aperol Aperitif is impressive. The fruity notes of orange characterise it as well as the bitter and woody essences and the taste of aromatic herbs. Even when you smell it, you will recognise these nuances, together with a touch of vanilla.
A Bit of History
Aperol was born from the dedication of brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri, who between 1912 and 1919, using the knowledge gathered in their father's Padua liquor company, created a successful drink. The exact recipe is still kept secret today and has not been modified since its creation. From the first post-war period onwards, Aperol began to spread throughout Italy, but it was in the 50s that it reached its popularity, thanks to the combination with spritz. A great investment in advertising led to the Aperol becoming known beyond national borders, so much so that today it can easily be enjoyed all across Britain.
Matching and Price
The herbal liqueur can be enjoyed straight or with ice, as well as an ingredient for long drinks or cocktails. The most famous of these is certainly the Aperol Spritz, where the aperitif is served in a glass together with prosecco, ice, soda and an orange slice. Aperol Aperitivo 15% is available in packs of 0.7l and 1l.
